Foggy morning around Belper

A quick visit up to my local woods this morning to catch the sun and mist.

Wander around the east side of Wirksworth

A 07:30 start from Blackbrook this morning, it was my turn and -2 when we started off and got down to -4 at one stage. We just wanted to stick local and keep away from muddy fields so it was a visit to the eastern side of Wirksworth and up to the Gorsey Banks area.
We parked on the road just up from the railway station and found the footpath and away we went past Anthony Gell School playing fields and onto Brooklands Ave.

From Wirksworth we had a half hour to spare so we went off to Cromford to look at something our Rob had seen.

This is what we came to see, not sure what it has been but we think likely to be the place for an old water pump.

 The walk today was a steady 3 miles just with a bit of a hill to get over, met a couple of interesting blokes doing the walling and a nice chat with the police at the overturned car.
