Nelson's Monument and his 3 ships

This week we decided to have a revisit to Birchen Edge and have a look at Nelson's Monument and the 3 natural boulders known as the 3 ships.
We parked in Birchen Edge car park right next door to the Robin Hood pub. Its a steady climb for a couple of hundred yards and we had a choice to carry on the low path which we did until we passed under Nelson's Monument then it was another steady climb up to the path on top of the edge.

Is this a stone circle?

Someone has decorated this tree away from the track on the  moorland.

It was a lovely morning for a walk with some wonderful early warm light. The trig point is just over 1015 feet and we only covered less than 4 miles. A cracking morning.
Cheers
