Sandiacre and Derby Canal

After a couple of weeks off due to all sorts of reasons we were back to full strength today. We went to south Derbyshire today to walk along the route of a couple of old canals. We parked up just alongside the canal at Sandiacre and followed Geoff. First the route went alongside the canal then we ambled through some housing estates and open countryside. Just have a look at the pics

This was a nice brisk walk just over 5 1/2 miles, nice and flat and surprisingly quite a number of people and horses about. The sky was grey all morning until we almost got back to the car, typical.
I will be missing next week as our photo club has an exhibition taking place at The Old School House in Chapel St, Belper. Saturday and Sunday, pop along if you have time and meet some really talented photographers.
Cheers
