A Wander Around Nether Heage

With all the rain we've had through the week we thought just stick local and to the roads. We've all driven through Nether Heage lots of times but never walked around it. Its only a 10 minute drive away, so we parked up just as the sun came up about 08:00. No plan just walk around in a big circle but we were amazed at the number of footpaths and signs criss-crossing the area. Just a few pics so enjoy.

Unusual outbuilding

  This was the closest we could get to Nether Heage Hall a16th Century private house.

 Hidden from view in the Dumbles,Nether
 Heage. Home of the Pole Family who were
 Lords of the Manor.George rebuilt the 
 church as retribution for his misdeeds
 and Legends of Ghostly haunting near the
 Hall.

 This was a very short amble around the lanes of Nether Heage but very enjoyable nonetheless. After our breakfast in the village rec we had a nice chat to a lady in Nether Heage who was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some good info. On our route around we spotted a lot of footpaths for future exploration in warmer, drier weather.
