Alstonefield and Wolfscote Dale

3 of us today and we had a wander from Alstonefield down Gypsy Bank and through Wolfscote Dale along the banks of the river Dove. We picked a great day with clear blue skies and wonderful views. We parked in a free car park on the edge of Alstonefield, walked through part of the village and just followed the track. There were lots of ascents  and descents, crossing the river twice and we found a lovely spot for breakfast.

This weeks route around Alstonefield

Not sure how he got onto the track but there are lots of gates to open and close

Spotted the old tractor from a distance and had to go and have a look.

Appears to be an abandoned farm

Around the farm was littered with old tractors and farm machinery

A lot of lose wool on this sheep.
