Attenborough In the Mist

5 of us today and it was Ike's turn to drive.Geoff's son Stephen came with us but he went in his own car. A quick decision was made and we headed off to the Attenborough Nature Reserve.
It didn't take long to get there, the mist was quite heavy and we couldn't see a lot. We just followed the footpath and eventually came to the seat where we were a couple of weeks ago. We settled down and had our breakfast. After the breakfast we headed back towards the car but took an alternative route that took us alongside the main railway track.

This weeks route around the Attenborough Nature Reserve.

Minimal shots in the mist.

Water Rail hiding away in the undergrowth.

A lovely morning just over 3 miles a nice steady walk on pretty level ground, we saw lots of birds and how our Rob spotted the Water Rail i don't know it was so heavily camouflaged i couldn't see it at first. Not a good day for taking pics but really chuffed i saw the Water Rail.
See you next week.
