Cromford Canal and Bow Woods

Just 3 of us today Rob was looking after his poorly Mrs. Hope you get well soon Joan. We hadn't a clue where we were going, so Ike was driving and we went north up the A6 just as far as Cromford. We parked up and went along the canal  past the Leawood Pump House which is covered in scaffolding to the ruined house and then turned left and followed the track that comes out at Lea Bridge. From there we went into Bow Woods and eventually onto Lea Road and back to the car.

Just love the pattern on this tree
Not quite 4 miles today and its defo getting brighter in the mornings although a bit murky today. Still nice to see a bit of snow on the hills. A lot of work going on at the Leawood Pump house so it looks like it will be out of operation for a while. Lovely walk through Bow Woods must go back when the bluebells are in flower.
See you next week.
