Youlgrave and Meadow Place Grange.

A trip up towards Youlgrave this week with a later start of 06:30 so a bit of a lie in. We parked in the car park on the outskirts of Youlgrave and walked down through the village then up through Meadow Place Grange. This is a really old farm with loads of character. From the farm we stopped at the dry river Lathkill where we had our breakfast. From there it was up to Over  Haddon and Conksbury Bridge then road work back to the car.

This weeks route. Youlgrave to Over Haddon and back.

This was another lovely walk with a couple of small hills, stumbling across Meadow Place Grange was a bonus, what a brilliant old farm complex.
It was different seeing the river Lathkill fro a high position when coming out of Over Haddon. As usual for this time of the year the river at Carters Mill was dry.
See you next week
