Nottingham Greens Windmill

With rain predicted for most of the morning we decided another trip to the trams at Nottingham would be a safe bet. We set off in Ike's car and got to the park and ride at Phoenix Park for about 06:45. We caught the tram and it took us right through to Clifton. We just moved to the other end of the tram and went into town and got off so we could find the windmill we have seen on a couple of previous trips. By using my GPS on the phone and asking locals we eventually got to the windmill. Naturally it was closed so we sat on a bench and had our breakfast. A chap got to the gate and opened it but proper opening time was an extra half hour, i asked him if we could have a quick shufty around before the official opening time and after asking his manager we were in.
We had a really could look inside the mill and spoke to the miller and got s loads of interesting info. From there we walked down to the Market Place and Nottingham Beach. We caught the tram back to Phoenix Park and set off for home.

We passed a few more of those Robins

Some great graffiti

Looks like a Dalek landed on the roof.

Back at Phoenix Park
Despite the damp weather this has been another cracking morning getting to the windmill where none of us had been before. Nottingham is a big city with plenty of history and we have just scratched the surface.
See you next week
