A wander around Middleton by Youlegrave

3 of us today and my turn to drive so it was up the A6 then across to Middleton by Youlgreave. We parked up just inside the village at about 07:15 and just headed down the track on the left of the green. It was still quite gloomy at this time with very low light levels, the lane with all the leaves on the ground would look quite spectacular in the sunlight. We passed the poetry stones and the sheep wash then alongside the dried up water course, over a couple of foot bridges then up through Hopping Farm camp site to the single track road. We passed by Rock Farm and Lowfields Farm Gratton Grange and eventually back to the car.
