Route Around Biggin

Back to full strength today all 4 of us and my turn to drive. I got to Plains Lane about 06:55 and it was drizzling so we made a decision to go on a route around Biggin. When we parked up it was dark and raining but the mood soon brightened up when we saw a barn owl performing in the field alongside the trail. We then walked along the road for a few minutes and decided it was time for waterproof trousers. We carried on to Biggin where we found a bus shelter to have our breakfast. We eventually got to the footpath that took us back onto the Tissington Trail. Walking along the trail we spotted a field full of sheep and even a few lambs. Further along closer to the car we spotted some 4x4's on a proper track with big ruts through water, up hills and one or 2 got stuck. Back to the car and it had stopped raining.

  2. Put a thin carrier bag over your boot and your waterproof trousers will slide on much more easily!
Just found your blog - most enjoyable and great photos of many of the places we know well - thank you!
