A trip around Tissington

Just 3 of us this week and Ike's turn to drive.  We headed to Tissington and parked opposite the Hall. We were first ones there and parked right next to the well. We walked past the hall and through to the top of the village. We went past Sharplow Cottage where my friends lived. We followed the road until we got to the A515 and crossed over into the track that lead us to Sharplow Farm. We followed the footpath through some fields until we came out on Gag Lane  We has a nice slow walk along Gag Lane, past a couple of farms and past Moat Low and we crossed over the A515 down a short footpath until we got onto the Tissington Trail. We had to go under a bridge and up some steps to get onto the trail and we found a seat to have our breakfast. After breakfast we headed back towards Tissington but left the trail and went onto a footpath that tool a shortcut into the top of the village. We were taking some pics around my friends cottage and they saw us and came out. We had a good natter and carried on to the car. When we got back to the parking area there was a few E Type Jags obviously a meet of some sort and very nice they were too.

This was a great walk with a couple of gentle slopes and a couple of stiles. Some lovely views in clear visibility for a change. The last time we came in this area it was misty and we didn't see much. Nice seeing my friends we were invited in for a cuppa but as usual pressed for time.
See you next week.
