Sir William Hill

My turn to drive and it was another awesome sky so i nipped down to the mill for a sunrise shot before i picked the boys up. We decided to go up around Sir William Hill so it was straight up the A6 and through Bakewell and Foolow, past the Barrel Inn and parked up by the side of the road. We got booted up and found the footpath just off the road We walked along the track skirting some woods then past Stanage House. the track was a slow decline through bracken and heather, We started to climb again until we reached the road then settled down by the side of the road for breakfast.
After breakfast it was a long slog up past the Sir William Hill communications mast, over the other side to the car.

Before dawn this morning

What a morning, started off at 12 degrees and ended at 25 degrees. A nice 3 mile walk, we spotted a partridge, couple of crows and a beautiful butterfly.
See you next week.
