Burbage Edge

Only 3 of us this week and we wondered what the heather would be like up on the moors so we headed up to Burbage Edge in Ike's car. We parked just above Toads Mouth in the gate where there's room for only 4 cars. We had a very slow walk along the bottom path and then found the footpath up to the  edge passing a couple of cairns on the way. We got onto the top and the views are just breathtaking in almost 360 degrees. We stopped further along and had our breakfast. I must apologise for all the photos, i could stop and take a pic every 10 feet, glorious place. After breakfast we slowly walked along the trail and back to the car.

Unfortunately this round trough has a big crack in it before it got finished.

This was a lovely little walk with breathtaking views. We passed a couple of cracked troughs and just wonder if the poor sods got the sack after presumably weeks of work chipping them out.
See you next week
