My turn this week and it was a lovely frosty morning when i left my house. Picked up the lads at 07:30 and after a while we decided to go to the old Bakewell railway station, so we parked on the road just below the station. My car temperature gauge read an unbelievable -11 degrees on the way there. We got onto the old track behind the station and headed north on the Monsal trail until we got just past the Hassop Book Cafe where we turned onto the old packhorse route that eventually lead us back to Bakewell. The trail through here was white over with frost and crunchy underfoot. We spotted a bit of wildlife, a buzzard, pheasant, fieldfare and a flock of linnets. Where we stopped for breakfast had amazing views all around 360 degrees.

A lovely cold frosty morning with lots of varied scenery, it was freezing in the shadows and the light at the cold blue end of the spectrum but when the sun came out the warm light was brilliant.
