Upper Booth & Middleton's Farm from The Village

Not such an early start this week we left Blackbrook at 06:00am and got to our car park near Upper Booth just an hour and quarter later. We booted up, well 3 of us did, unfortunately IKE FORGOT HIS BOOTS and just had his slippers on!!!!
Our target this week was to visit the Middleton's Farm which features in the recent BBC series The Village. It was a nice straight forward walk over from the car park area up a steady incline to the shelter at Dalehead, across the little brook and onto the Orchard then to the farm. We had our breakfast at Highfield farm before heading back to the car.
The 4 of us at the location of Middleton's Farm

With the light being so good we called in at Monsal Head on the way back just for a couple of quick pics.

A nice gentle walk this week, less than 3 miles in great weather although a bit cool early on. The pic i missed was Rob carrying Ike (I've left my boots at home) over some boggy ground. That would have been a prize winner.
See you next week
