Tissington Trail 3

Just 3 of us today because Ike is poorly with man flu. We went back to Tissington and parked up at about 08:00 in front of the Hall. It was just getting light and we headed north to the top of the village, we passed a cottage on the outskirts of the village where friends of mine live and looked through the window to see Jo sitting in her dressing gown, she came to the door and we chatted for 5 minutes before heading off. We just followed the road around to the main A 515 and walked about 100 yards before heading off down the track to Sharplow Farm. We walked through the farm and turned right up the hill and after the break and food I've had it was killing me. The footpath went across the fields and we eventually got to the top and then downhill on the other side and came out on Gag Lane next to a converted farm building. We passed by Moat Low which is a bronze age bowl barrow. Gag Lane came to the A515 where we crossed directly over and followed the footpath to get up onto the Tissington Trail. We found a seat and had our breakfast. The trail leads directly back to Tissington and despite the very misty conditions some of the scenery is outstanding and we will be back in the spring with better light.

Back into Tissington.
This would be the last walk of 2018 and despite having to wipe moisture from the lens every few minutes i managed to get a few pics.
I would just like to wish you all a happy new year and good health for 2019
See you next week.
